The Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) is committed to leading the fire and emergency service to excellence through the continuous quality improvement process of accreditation, credentialing, and education. Agency Accreditation is a process of organizational evaluation to determine if a fire and emergency service agency is meeting the needs of the community. Professional Credentialing recognizes career excellence in fire and emergency service and offers strategies for continuous personal improvement. CPSE’s Technical Advisor Program offers agencies expert resources in project management and technical support as they work towards accreditation. Our expert-led seminars provide the tools for continuous improvement and are available in person and via web. Our annual Excellence Conference offers educational and networking opportunities for accreditation and credentialing.
Coronavirus Update: It is not practical to hold the 2020 Metro Conference in Pittsburgh on June 6-10, 2020 as planned. Therefore, the 2020 Metro Conference is cancelled. Additional details will be forthcoming. Please be patient, as this decision has placed an unprecedented burden on the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire staff, who, like all other Metro departments, are also dealing with the COVID-19 issues.
Wishing everyone the best through these trying times.
